چکیده

Abstract The complexity of the tumor microenvironment (TME) severely hinders therapeutic effects various cancer treatment modalities. TME differs from normal tissues owing to presence hypoxia, low pH, and immune-suppressive characteristics. Modulation reverse growth equilibrium is considered an effective way treat tumors. Recently, polymeric nanomedicines have been widely used in therapy, because their synthesis can be controlled they are highly modifiable, demonstrated great potential remodel TME. In this review, we outline application stimuli responsive modulate TME, aiming provide insights for design next generation promote development therapy.

State of the art of stimuli-responsive liposomes for cancer therapy

Specific delivery of therapeutic agents to solid tumors and their bioavailability at the target site are the most clinically important and challenging goals in cancer therapy. Liposomes are promising nanocarriers and have been well investigated for cancer therapy. In spite of preferred accumulation in tumors via the enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect, inefficient drug release at t...

Stimuli-Responsive Nanomedicines for Overcoming Cancer Multidrug Resistance

Chemotherapy is still a main option for cancer therapy, but its efficacy is often unsatisfying due to multidrug resistance (MDR). The tumor microenvironment is considered a dominant factor causing MDR. Stimuli-responsive nanomedicines exhibit many superiorities for reversal of MDR. As smart systems, stimuli-responsive nanomedicines are desirable for achieving site-specific accumulation and trig...

Stimuli-responsive nanoparticles for targeting the tumor microenvironment.

One of the most challenging and clinically important goals in nanomedicine is to deliver imaging and therapeutic agents to solid tumors. Here we discuss the recent design and development of stimuli-responsive smart nanoparticles for targeting the common attributes of solid tumors such as their acidic and hypoxic microenvironments. This class of stimuli-responsive nanoparticles is inactive durin...
